Patrick Chambers walked into Joe Paterno&os;s Avalon, N.J., beach house, expecting to find the 84-year-old cooking breakfast or reading a book. But instead, what he found was Paterno drawing up plays on a piece of paper, sitting in his swim trunks and T-shirt on the deck.
