In the SwimSwam Podcast dive deeper into the sport you love with insider conversations about swimming. Hosted by Coleman HodgesGarrett McCaffrey, and Gold Medal Mel Stewart, SwimSwam welcomes both the biggest names in swimming that you already know, and rising stars that you need to get to know, as we break down the past, present, and future of aquatic sports.

We sat down with ISL breaststroke maestro and newly-minted world champion Nic Fink, who took us through his whirlwind fall both in school and swim. After the Olympics, he immediately moved from his longtime home in Athens, Georgia an hour away to Atlanta to start his master’s degree in mechanical engineering. He also started training with Georgia Tech, knowing that he may miss a practice here or there for school and focusing more on technique and power.

Fink talks us through managing school during the full ISL season, taking finals a week before flying to Abu Dhabi for the world championships, and going best times and winning world titles through all of it.
