With a whopping total of 35 gold medals, and thanks to rejuvenated performance in Tokyo, Hungary's Katinka Hosszu has all-but-sealed the $100,000 women's prize.

Great Britain's Sophie Allen was the second-highest scorer in Tokyo, but Zsu Jakabos remained in 2nd overall with 79 points: 14 ahead of Germany's Britta Steffen. In addition to Hosszu's $100,000 prize (she can only be caught if someone breaks a World Record, and even then it might take two), There is still $50,000 to go to each male and female runner-up, plus $30,000 to the 3rd-place finishers.

Both Steffen and Allen swam very well in Tokyo, but if the points go the same way in Singapore, where points are doubled, Allen will move into the money despite skipping the two Middle Eastern stops of the meet.

On the men's side, Kenneth To maintained his overall lead, but after finishing only 5th at the Tokyo stop, the battle tightened considerably. If To takes care of business in Singapore, he should be fine, but with any stumble or fatigue, George Bovell, who's raced many fewer yards in this series, could swoop in for the men's crown.
