Kham Glass of Pearl, Mississippi has announced via social media that he will swim for Drury University next fall. He will join Chris McNew in the Panthers’ class of 2022.
“Excited to announce my verbal commitment to Drury University in Springfield, Mo. I’m thankful for my family, coaches, and friends for supporting me through my decision. #gopanthers”
Glass holds the Mississippi state high school record in the 100 back, which he originally set in the fall of 2016 with 50.51 then lowered to 49.72 this past October. Swimming for Brandon High School, he won both the 50 free and 100 back at the 2017 MHSAA Division II State Championships.
Glass swims year-round for Sunkist Swim Team. He competed in the 50/100 free and 100 back at 2017 Winter Juniors East, and went best times in both freestyles. Since then he has improved his PBs in the 50/100 free, 50/200 breast, 100 fly, and 200 IM at the Sunkist Winter Blast Invite, the MSI Short Course State Championships, and the PSS Atlanta.
Drury is a perennial leader among the Division II programs; the men’s swimming and diving team just finished sixth at the 2018 NCAA Division II Championships.
