Karolina Vavra and Sami Vavra helped break a longtime East Stroudsburg University record during the second day of the PSAC Swimming Championships on Friday.
The Vavras, both graduates of Panther Valley, were part of the 200 free relay that sliced more than a second off the old ESU mark set 34 years ago.
The quartet of Karoline (a freshman), Sami (a junior), Kimberly Lawson and Andrea Tremper combined for a time of 1:37.70, breaking the mark of 1:38.82 recorded back in 1978.
