One of his achievements that live on today is Jersey Shore's public swimming pool. In the February 12, 2012 edition of the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, it states, "Involvement in the community was important to Howard and together with Jane they helped organize the campaign to build the public swimming pool; delivered food to the elderly through Meals on Wheels and were active in beautifying Torbert Village."![]()
